She was born in Mexico D.F. and studied acting in the C.U.T. (University
Center of Teather) of the UNAM (Universidad Nacional Autónoma de
México). There she was not only part of the independent theater scene but
also member of the university theater during the 80s. In the 90s her focus
moved, besides continuing theater work, towards Performance referring on
the tradition of Situationism and Action-Art. She incorporates in her work
other plastic languages as installation, video and photo and experiments
with the modern technologies of corporal manipulation and Fakirismo and
becomes a professional body piercer.
Her accumulated experience directing a practice which destabilizes gender
constructions and the borders between public and private spheres, as well
as the use of ritualized profanity and abjection, have allowed her to build a
language which can be understood as a performance related with the
politics of the body and its critical deconstruction as a space of repression
and domestication. Katia Tirado established links with national and
international circuits of performance and has collaborated with different
artists like: J.J. Gurrola, Jan Majachek, Dr. Lakra, Guillermo Gómez Peña,
Abraham Cruz Villegas, Casacuevas, Annie Sprinkle, Ron Athey, Víctor
Martínez Díaz, Marissa Karr, Gin Mueller, S.R.L. ( Survival Research

Dane Terry is a multi-media storymaker, performer and composer. He has made stories and music for all sorts of rooms and situations and with all sorts of people. Dane was the writer, composer and lead performer of the musical fiction podcast Dreamboy (Night Vale Presents, 2018). Works for stage include: Jupiter’s Lifeless Moons (PSNY, NYC, 2018) and Bird In The House (La MaMa, NYC, 2015 – Under The Radar Festival, NYC, 2016). Dane was the 2016 recipient of the Ethyl Eichelberger Award from PSNY. Dane is originally from Columbus but has lived in NYC for the past 12 years.

I am out of my mind. Somehow I’ve managed to find myself bound to sticks and surrounded by fire… how did this happen? In 2005 I found myself possessed by the darkroom. I shot miles of film before pushing into digital… and I broke my first three point and shoots within 5 months. I started photographing nature in Columbus’ Metro Parks. I got down low, and walked where I wasn’t supposed to. I saw some beautiful things, and I saw tragic messes. Culture was creeping into my landscapes.

The Guilty Pleasures Stage Show
Each year the Guilty Pleasures Stage Show performs hundreds of audience-participation driven scenes for the attendees of TRAUMA. Those who volunteer to be consenting and active participants in sadomasochistic activities, as a part of the performance experience, have an opportunity to learn about various kinky forms of play.
The stage show started out as a live and interactive BDSM performance at a Goth industrial night club located in Columbus, Ohio known as Outland, and is purely volunteer driven. To fulfill the show’s core value that “an educated community is a safer community,” the volunteers serve as resources and mentors to promote active-consent based communication and opportunities to share knowledge with other explores of kink activities.
